Overview of IURCA

Former IURCA President and Chairman, Maeve O'Reilly and Kenneth Bray
IURCA Ltd (Irish Universities Riding Clubs Association Ltd) is the governing body that oversees and runs all aspects of student equestrianism in Ireland. It oversees the running of the annual tetrathlon and equestrian intervarsity competitions as well as selecting, training and sending national teams abroad to compete at international student riding events across the globe.
Run as a limited company, it contains eight elected board of directors whose positions are up for election on a annual basis, with the exception of the President whose term is two years. Information of the current committee can be found in the "About us" heading at the top of the page.
Student equestrianism, both at intervarsity and SRNC level, has shown massive growth, both in terms of participation and success of teams in recent years and IURCA does its best to continue to promote and enhance this recent trend and give its members the opportunity to get as much out of student riding in general, be it at competitive level or as a social outlet.
